Who and How 'Discovered' Coffee?

It looks as on about 1000 A.D., an Ethiopian tribe found that these beans, ground and eaten, make you feel highly energetic. They immediately appreciated it. The Arabs then brought these magnificent beans (in red berries form) to their territory and boiled them. The consequential brew was delighted happily by young and old. The Arabs immediately loved the amazing brew and, to have a good supply, they cultivated it on their manors. They called that brew 'kahway' which in reality means 'thing which prevents sleep'. Perhaps the word coffee has certainly come from what the Arabs called this brew - 'kahway'.

Do you like gourmet coffee? You will have to know that there exists only two kinds of coffee on this globe -the Arabic coffee and the robust coffee. The most poplar coffee is absolutely the Arabic coffee. That kind of coffee is grown all over the world serving for about two thirds of the entire world's coffee.

The reason why you will get your best gourmet coffee from the Arabic coffee is because it is richer, has a deeper aroma and it is far superior to the robust coffee. If you come across at it, the gourmet coffee is a matter of taste as it is of opinion. Habitually the gourmet coffee is made with special flavors, which highly improves its aroma and taste. The best way to make a gourmet coffee is by adding flavor when you are roasting the beans.

It is easy to make gourmet coffee, once you know how. You need practice, practice and practice and never make it to the art of gourmet coffee while there are people which can just try their hand once and, voila, you have a great cup of gourmet coffee!

Sorry, but "flavored coffee" and "gourmet coffee" are incompatible.

The former was created as a marketing gimmick in the early 1990s by desperate coffee producers. Coffee consumption declined steadily since the 1940s, and more scary to them -- fewer young people (their future lifetime customers) were drinking the stuff. So to compete with the likes of flavored sodas, they introduced spray-on chemical flavorings to coffee.

Basically, to entice people who didn't actually like coffee -- in an attempt to try to convince them that they did.

Today coffee consumption is on the rise again, but largely because the coffee "flavoring" of today is actually milk.
