New Coffee Tables In Oak

Bringing all of our old furniture when we moved five years ago, we found that the pieces that looked great in our country home of only 10 years did not quite fit the lake home that was 100 years old. Mainly, the oak trim in the new home did not match the maple occasional tables, so we needed a change. In order to match the trim, we planned to replace our old pieces with oak coffee tables.

Since our old tables were still nice, we decided to sell them in our neighbor?s garage sale. I found this furniture site very useful http://www.ourfurnitureinfo.com. If we bought the oak coffee tables, there would be no room for these old maple tables, anyway. Getting exactly what we asked for the tables, we used the money earned from the sell to buy the new oak coffee tables.

Following a suggestion from our neighbor, we decided to check out an unclaimed freight warehouse that deals in a large volume of furniture at affordable prices. Although it was close to our home and I had passed it often, I had not had any reason to shop there. Filled with name brand furniture, the warehouse was surprisingly mostly furniture. Some of the pieces could even be ordered in the upholstery of your choice. Since the warehouse buys furniture from stores going out of business, the prices are much lower than what you would normally find.

With a various shapes, sizes, and styles of oak coffee tables, the warehouse offered something for everyone. I found a replica that reminded me of an antique table that my grandmother had. Since it blended well with the age of our new home, I thought it would be perfect with the wood trim and the rest of the furniture. With two oak coffee tables and a lamp stand in hand, I could decide whether I wanted to take the tables in boxes with me and assemble them myself or let them deliver them after they assembled them. Since the clerk showed us how easy it was to assemble the tables, we decided to do it ourselves and were able to take the tables right then.

Within a few minutes, my husband and I had assembled the tables. Saving a lot of money by shopping at the warehouse and opting to assemble them ourselves, we can now enjoy our beautiful matching oak coffee tables. I?m sure I will be shopping at the warehouse again to find more bargains.
